River Chums return to fold,
Spring Trip meal-tiks all been sold,
Beer brains talking through their hats,
Paddles load,
And that was that!
Chum canoes sweep through the cold,
Somewhat foolish, somewhat bold,
Foresters went in kersplat,
Fault assigned,
And that was that!
Prosecutor uncontrolled,
Defense meek, too soft, too old,
Deliberate in no time flat,
All must rise,
And that was that!
Foreman Freddy speaking bold,
Chums aspire to fit that mold,
Jury hung in river spat,
Flop-off truth,
And that was that!
As it was in times of old,
So, the tale is often told,
Bill held court in Gator hat,
Court adjourned,
